BATAVIA — A man charged in October with forcibly raping a woman was arrested by Batavia police on warrants for burglary and grand larcenies.
Ronnie K. Johnson, 52, homeless, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny for a theft on Aug. 2 on East Main Street. He also was charged on a warrant with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy for another theft on East Main St. on Aug. 19, city police said.
Johnson was arraigned and returned to Genesee County Jail, where he has been since his arrest in late October on rape charges.
Genesee County sheriff’s deputies charged Johnson with first-degree rape by forcible compulsion, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree possession, unlawful imprisonment, menacing and criminal obstruction of breathing.
