Luverne beat New Ulm – Van Batavia scores 2 – The Rink Live


The Luverne bested the hosting New Ulm 4-1 on Tuesday.

The first period was scoreless, and within the first minute of the second period, the Luverne players took the lead when Kamryn Van Batavia opened the scoring assisted by Ella Apel.

The Luverne players increased the lead to 2-0 within the first minute when Mallory Nelson found the back of the net, assisted by Payton Behr.

The New Ulm players narrowed the gap to 2-1, after only 54 seconds into the third period when Afton Hulke netted one, assisted by Evelyn Sellner.

Kamryn Van Batavia increased the lead to 3-1 seven minutes later, assisted by Rylee Kurtz.

Ellisyn Van Batavia increased the lead to 4-1 five minutes later, assisted by Kamryn Van Batavia.

On Thursday, the New Ulm players will host Minnesota River at 7 p.m. CST at Le Sueur Arena and the Luverne players will host Windom at 7 p.m. CST at Blue Mound Ice Arena.
