SCRANTON, PA. — Batavia High School graduate Benjamin Paserk put his name in the record books recently at Lackawanna Junior College during his team’s 88-0 blowout victory over Queen City Collegiate Prep Oct. 16.
Paserk, a 2020 BHS graduate and place kicker for the Falcons hit 11-of-12 PAT kicks and also booted a 35-yard field goal in the victory.
Lackawanna College improved to 4-1 on the season. It was Lackawanna’s 200th career victory.
The six-foot, 200-pound sophomore set several offensive records in the game, which was played at a neutral site in Chesterfield, VA.
The Falcons set program records for points in a game (88), margin of victory (88), and shut-out victory (88-0),
Paserk set the record for most extra points (11) in one game,
Ironically, Paserk also holds the Section V record for most PAT’s in a season (63) as kicker for the Blue Devils.
Lackawanna’s only loss was to -12 Georgia Military College.
The Falcons are currently ranked -13 in the nation in the latest NJCAA Division I poll with five games remaining.
Two of those games are against top 10 teams in -9 Georgia Military (GA) and Snow College (UT) at -7.
Lackawanna’s next game is at home Oct. 29 against Monroe College.
